Michael S. Schumacher, the Légion d'honneur  (German pronunciation: [mɪçaʔeːl ʃuːmaxɐ] (see), familiarly called "Schumi" "Schuey",  or "Schu", was born in Cologne, Nordrhein-Westfalen, West Germany, January 3, 1969, age 45 years)  is a former Formula 1 driver from Germany.  He was a career in F1 in two different occasions, first from 1991 to 2006 with joined with Jordan, Benetton and Ferrari and the second from 2010 to 2012 with the Mercedes GP team. His younger brother, Ralf, who is currently racing in the DTM event with the team of Mercedes-Benz, also had to go down as the Formula 1 drivers of the 1997 season until 2007, Schumacher was first raced in Formula 1 in 1991, since then he has won 91 races and seven-time formula 1 world champion (1994, 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004). He also holds various personal record in the arena of world champion F1 like most, most wins, most pole position holder , winner of the most points (the system before 2010) , and the number of wins in one season (13 times in the 2004 season). Schumacher is one of the many living legends of Formula 1 is very popular to this day.  


Schumacher, along with Jimmie Johnson (NASCAR), Valentino Rossi (MotoGP) and Sebastien Loeb (WRC), also widely known as one of the legends of motor sports in the early 21st Century He also shared that his brother Ralf was the only pair of brothers successful record 1-2 victory in the Canadian Grand Prix race in 2001 and 2003 Canadian GP beyond the race track itself, Schumacher is one of the ambassadors of UNESCO and is also an ambassador for the highway driver safety. He also often donate money to some charity income and humanitarian need around the world. 

But behind that is quite extraordinary career, Schumacher also has some controversy, among which are the current world title fight against champion Damon Hill at the 1994 Australian GP and against Jacques Villeneuve at the European Grand Prix in 1997 which led to Schumacher disqualified from the world championships. Until now Schumacher holds the record as the only rider who disqualified from the world championship standings. 

Schumacher's own early career started racing karts before then he moved on to single-seater arena and then managed to win the Formula König and Formula Three. He was later contracted by Mercedes-Benz to step down in the event Sportscar before then contracted by Jordan Grand Prix to race in the 1991 Belgian GP From there he then pulled into Benetton by Flavio Briatore. Having managed to become world champion in 1994-1995, Schumacher then move to Ferrari in 1996 and then managed to dominate F1 for five consecutive seasons from 2000-2004. He then retired from F1 at the end of the 2006 season and became a consultant for Ferrari.  In mid-2009, Schumacher came close to return to F1 with Ferrari after Felipe Massa suffered a terrible accident at the Hungarian Grand Prix, but due to a neck injury suffered in an accident while motor racing, Schumacher changed his mind to fall back in F1. Late 2009 and then widely reported Schumacher will race again in F1 for the 2010 season with the Mercedes team. The rumors became a reality in late December 2009 when Schumacher announced that he will join the Mercedes GP for three seasons (2010-2012).
